An ecosystem for the Right to Food
Since 2021, ABD has managed La Botiga, a community project on the right to food, promoted by the El Prat City Council and in partnership with Fundació Espigoladors .
The work with vulnerable groups and agri-food and community agents has highlighted needs linked to access to healthy and sustainable food that go beyond the basic coverage guarantee.
OTHER PROJECTS
With the same holistic and circular vision as La Botiga, ABD has promoted European projects that address complementary aspects to access to food: the employment of vulnerable groups, youth empowerment in the face of global challenges or the construction of more resilient local communities. This ecosystem expands and enriches La Botiga, connecting it with international networks and strengthening the local ecosystem of entities, producers, companies and citizens.
Global Districts
Global Districts is a European project on global citizenship for young people that seeks to encourage the participation of young people between 15 and 30 years old who do not usually participate or are less involved in non-formal spaces, with the aim of involving them in current global challenges through training, workshops, practical experiences and project funding. Specifically, we work on topics such as sustainability, the climate crisis, food and gender from an intersectional perspective.

Educate for Independence
Educate for Independence is a European project that promotes autonomy and access to the labour market for young people aged 15 to 29 with mild or moderate intellectual disabilities who are not in education, employment or training. This group has a much lower than average employability rate. An innovative intervention is proposed focused on the development of life and work skills. It includes: the scope of the target group, the definition of the learning model, the validation of skills and labour activation, taking into account individual needs and community participation.

Agri for Integration
Agri for Integration is a European project that aims to include migrants, especially women, in the local agri-food labour market by co-designing strategies with community actors. The project offers training in sustainable agriculture and professional mentoring for migrants, as well as training for integration professionals. The project aims to empower migrants, foster inclusion, support local economies and promote sustainability.

EU Food Security HUB
EU Food Security HUB is a European project that aims to promote cooperation, knowledge exchange and the expansion of good practices between organizations that promote food security and sovereignty, while increasing the development of professionals to improve the social inclusion of vulnerable groups of people. Its main motivation is to build a common European framework of competences for innovative professional pathways that contribute to addressing the challenge of food insecurity from a sustainable and socially inclusive approach.
