Community participation

I feel good at La Botiga, valued and motivated. I feel useful here. I like to be supportive and La Botiga is a space that allows me to be so.

At AxT Agricultura pel Territori, we have always been clear that local agroecology must be accessible to everyone. Our collaboration with La Botiga is a big step in this direction, allowing us to offer fresh, quality products to families in vulnerable situations. This project challenges us to reimagine our role in the community, not only as promoters of healthy eating, but also as agents of social change. We believe that this experience can become a benchmark for other territories, inspiring new forms of collaboration that boost the local economy, improve people’s health and strengthen community ties.

I’ve been volunteering at La Botiga for a year, it’s what I like to do in my spare time, it makes me feel useful and active. I like helping people and connecting with El Prat. I feel like I have a commitment.

Collaborating closely with La Botiga offers us the opportunity to transform and revalue the organic waste generated in our territory. It is a perfect symbiosis, where we combine efforts and needs to generate a positive and sustainable impact on the environment.

Being a volunteer and doing my part allows me to connect with people, understand their feelings and experience empathy. There is no greater satisfaction than helping others and finding happiness in their well-being.

We are delighted with Roger’s treatment and being part of a project like this. We are united by the work to improve people’s quality of life, through products that respect the environment and animals.

The users of Jardí Fènix, from the first day of collaboration with the donations of organic fruit and vegetables to La Botiga, have felt that they are once again protagonists of a society that has often left them aside and that manages to break the stigma, from a natural relationship of cooperation and mutual solidarity.

I like to volunteer here because I like to collaborate and make friends, I have a good time here.

I wanted to record how happy and grateful I am to be surrounded by women who trust me and encourage me to fight for my dreams without neglecting my values. La Botiga has given me the opportunity to work as a Muslim woman. What for some people the hijab is a simple “cloth”, for others it symbolizes identity and representation of our own essence and belief. For those of us who wear the hijab, every day is a reminder of our ability to resist, to celebrate our individuality and to find beauty in our diversity. Hopefully a world where everyone can live and express themselves without fear of being judged or with cataloged prejudices.
