Governance
We have four commissions made up of different agents who are part of the ecosystem and which function as spaces for reflection and decision on the design and operation of the project.
They collect the day-to-day experiences of the project, suggestions and improvement proposals from all the participants and implement them.
Coexistence committee
The experiences of the people linked to the project are collected and consensual and participative coexistence agreements are established, always from an inclusive, plural and diverse perspective, which respects and contemplates all the collectives that participate in the space.
There is none in La Botiga: Racism. masculinity Homophobia or transphobia. ageism Nor any other form of discrimination or intolerance. Except if it’s food, then yes!
Participation commission
It collects and promotes proposals for future workshops and activities and evaluates the initiatives carried out and their functioning. It also coordinates the calendar and community initiatives, and emphasizes the role of its members as project dissemination agents and participation opportunities, both in volunteering and in workshops and activities at La Botiga. Strategies are explored to connect with more people and encourage their direct and internal involvement in the project.
Sustainability Commission
It drives the implementation of sustainable practices, promotes energy efficiency and manages waste management strategies to encourage the circular economy.
It also plans awareness-raising strategies and awareness about the importance of sustainability and collaborates with other entities to achieve common goals in the preservation of the territory’s environment.
Food commission
We work on the proposals related to the purchasing policy and the needs of the products to be purchased, taking into account the different supply routes and the products received. Alternatives are proposed and evaluated to expand and/or diversify the food supply and the possible products and suppliers that can be incorporated into the service.

In order to encourage the decision-making and collaboration of the buyers, we periodically carry out popular consultations, where the preferences, needs and proposals related to the project are collected.
These inquiries can address the evaluation of the food and products of La Botiga, new additions of food, interests in workshops and activities, changes in the regulations of the space and its operation, as well as the food policy, among other topics.
